Alas de America was a 50th Anniversary Partner of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. We have also been nominated by Guillermo Gonzalez, Senator Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) Assistant State Director, for the 2007 Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports Spotlight Award for our innovative work with youth and teens.

Teen Instructor Assistant Program
Alas de America is presently recruiting teens (13-17) to assist primary instructors during Yoga Ed. classes and after school programs. The Institute will provide training free of charge. Teens will learn valuable skills and obtain community service credit. And, most importantly, they will have fun!
